Bring Your Child in for Their First Appointment Today
Dental health problems can begin at a very early age. That's why the Massachusetts Dental Society recommends scheduling a baby’s first visit to the dentist within six months of the eruption of the first tooth, and no later than your child's first birthday.
The key to this first visit at Beautiful South Shore Smiles by Dr. Monika J. Pronczuk
is educating and guiding parents on your child's oral health based on his or her developmental needs.
During this first visit, Dr. Monika Pronczuk's team will:
- Examine your baby's mouth, teeth, and gums while the child sits on your lap
- Demonstrate how to effectively clean your child's teeth and gums
- Evaluate any adverse habits, such as thumb sucking or liquids at bedtime
- Identify your child's fluoride needs
- Suggest a future schedule of dental visits for your child
- We will also answer any questions you or your child may have about oral hygiene
You can establish a positive relationship between your child and the dentist by starting dental visits early and continuing checkups regularly.
A Lifetime of Protection
Oral health is extremely important as your child is growing up. To further protect your child's teeth and keep them healthy, we recommend sealants. Sealants fill the deep groves and crevices of back molars to provide a barrier against tooth decay.
Plenty of Entertainment
During their appointments, young patients can also enjoy watching movies and cartoons on the monitors.
